The Mulberry Tree II – van Gogh

In the Mulberry Tree II – Van Gogh tapestry we see the tree from the famous painting by Vincent Van Gogh from October 1889. The Mulberry Tree has stunning shades of oranges, reds and yellows in a background of blue sky, in true impressionism style where there appears to be a flurry of movement in the entire piece, almost giving a sense of the breeze across the scene. This painting amongst others was submitted by Van Gogh’s brother Theo in the Society of Independent Artists show in 1890, and his works in this particular year of his life was considered some of his greatest.
