Wawel Timberland Grapes Cushion Cover

Wavel Timberland Grapes is a jacquard woven cushion cover inspired by the work created for King Sigismund Augustus of Poland from the 16th century. Commissioned from Michiel Coxcie of Mechelen, the landscapes created were the Jagaloon series of tapestries of which this is taken from the larger work Timberland. Here we see grape vines winding up the trunks of trees in the forest, as a verdure study of foliage and flora. This cushion cover is backed with a lining and has a zipper. Note: infill not included.
