Oriental & Asian

asian tapestry and decor image

In the Orient, the woven arts have existed for thousands of years, and began with silk tapestries discovered in the Qing dynasty.

Throughout China and India, tapestries were regarded as signs of affluence and valuable pieces of home décor. They were heavily traded with Europe as far as Rome during the 5th through the 12th centuries along the famous ‘Silk Road’, resulting in European tapestries reflecting Asian themes.

Our selection of Asian wall hangings includes images of Bhudda, exotic scenes, and animals prominent in Asian culture.

Enjoy the exotic feel these Oriental tapestries will give to any home décor.
