A tapestry showing the dancers in blue ballerina costumes performing their routine. From a work by Edgar Degas, Blue Dancers represents one of his many works based on his fascination with ballet and dance in general. Degas initially painted historical scenes but then focused on painting contemporary themes and events of his time in the mid 19th century. In this tapestry the tutus of the ballerinas form a sea of blue that envelopes the piece. This tapestry "Blue Dancers" is backed with a lining and tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod, if pictured, is not included.
