A tapestry showing the personification of dance in the form of a woman, by Czech artist Alphone Mucha. Mucha was most well known for his pieces that focuses on the study of images of women. In this piece, a woman in a pose signifying dance is on display. As usual, there is the symbolism of unabashed feminity with long flowing hair, the long flowing garments and the expression of the woman. As with the individual images of the seasons, this is a sister work of Music where Mucha represents music in female form. This tapestry is backed with a lining and a tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rod and tassels, where pictured, are purchased separately.
