This religious tapestry "Guadalupe" shows the Roman Catholic icon of the Mother Mary. It was in 1531 when a peasant Juan Diego received a vision of a teenage Mother Mary. She appeared to him and told him to build a church on the hill where they stood. This image of Mary is not an icon of Mexico and shows the Virgin in her blue robes blazen with stars, in a position of prayer, surrounded by a powerful golden halo. In this piece, she is supported by a bed of roses. This Christian religious tapestry "Guadalupe" is lined and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
