This Poppy Bouquet – Pejman tapestry is based on the original painting by Bob Pejman. Here we see an impressive arrangement of poppies in full bloom in a style that is all his own. Pejman, born 1963 has produced works showing cityscapes and landscapes and flowers and still lifes. He was raised in Vienna, then moved to the UK and then to the United States. He studied at the New York Art Students League and also with the Impressionist master artist, Ovanes Berberian. His various works have been created into jacquard woven tapestries. In this piece we can see some impressionism influence to render these poppies so beautifully. As a quote from Pejman "I have blended Classical and Modern elements in this painting. The background is very neutral, reminiscent of backgrounds used in classical floral still life paintings. As a sharp contrast, I have used a palette of Primary Colors: Red, Blue, and Yellow that is inspired by fauvist artists such as Matisse to create a very bold and vibrant bouquet of flowers. This is a work that is transitional in nature and fits in a traditional as well as a contemporary setting." Poppy Bouquet tapestry is backed with a lining and a tunnel for easy hanging. Note: tapestry rods and tassels, where pictured, are not included in the price.
