Accomplissement Gold – Klimt Cushion Cover

In this Accomplissement Gold – Klimt tapestry cushion cover we see the work of Gustav Klimt. Also known as Accomplishment, this scene shows the Fulfilment, from a painting from 1905-1909, now residing in Vienna, the artisic centre of the Western world. From his Golden Phase of artistic production by Klimt, often using gold leaf to provide additional color, this work shows two lovers kissing as their robes, caressing them both, contrast with the background behind. This is a detail from the larger work Accomplissement II – Klimt. Breaking from tradition, and an integral part of the Viennese Succession movement, we see the bold use of geometry and pattern in a new way. This cushion cover “Accomplissement Gold – Klimt” is backed with a lining and has a zipper. Note: infill not included.
