Bamboo Division

This modern Oriental tapestry “Bamboo Division” is based on the work of contemporary artist Don Li-Leger. His works have been called “Asian fusion” and here we see the Oriental bamboo plant and red poppies in an abstract scene. Li-Leger draws his inspiration from Asian and Oriental elements and has a signature of using bold bright colors. The colors here include golds and red which in Chinese culture represent fortune and luck. The bamboo is represented in a calligraphic like way with brush strokes which reflects the traditional Oriental methods of portraying art through the centuries. This tapestry “Bamboo Division” is unlined and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
