Burnished Eucalyptus

This work is by artist Matina Theodosiou named “Burnished Eucalyptus”. The work of Theodosiou is a study of flower and plants, and in this case the Australian Eucalyptus. There are over 700 species of eucalyptus, mostly in Australia, and is known for its waxy solid leaves and characteristic olive green color. In this work the branches of the tree are seen with a burnished wallpaper design and calligraphy to produce a work that is intensely rich in color. This modern floral tapestry “Burnished Eucalyptus” is backed with lining and tunnel for easy hanging.
