This tapestry, like its companion work “Spring Chorus Tapestry” is an Oriental tapestry designed by contemporary artist Don Li-Leger. Inspired by monoprints with large blocks of saturated color, his art turned to that of Asian influences. His style is described as Asian fusion. In this Asian wall tapestry we see the elements of Asian culture peeking through with the bamboo and bright red poppies. The bamboo branches are implied to be dancing in the wind as suggested by the title. The division of the canvas to blocks of color is also a trademark of his work, with the green representing health, the red good luck and the gold, wealth. This work is representative of the style of this modern artist which is in abstract yet accessible style. This tapestry is unlined and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
