Godspeed III – No Border tapestry shows the gorgeous work of Edmund Blair Leighton (1853-1922). The works of Leighton focused on medieval subjects, and Godspeed tapestry, as in the Accolade tapestry, shows one of his most loved scenes. Here we see glorious work of Leighton from 1900 where we see a lady bidding good luck to a knight about to head for battle, beside the gate of the castle walls. The details are beautiful including the stone walls, the gargoyle architecture, the lady’s yellow gown, and the knight’s red cape. The light illuminates the scene most beautifully which is a hallmark of the work of Leighton in his works. The Godspeed II – No Border tapestry is backed with lining and has a tunnel for easy hanging.
