The scene of “Knights and Ladies of Camelot” from the Arthurian legends are portrayed here in this medieval tapestry. The legends, with their shrouded origins, tells of tales of the kingdom of Camelot and tales of knights and their dealings with both magic as well as the ladies they conquered or fell in love with. Here we see a lady offering a red shawl to one of the knights. The knights presided with King Arthur at the Round Table and this symbolised the equal status of all the knights, first described in 1155. This tapestry is backed with a lining and a tunnel for easy hanging.
