Prestige – With Bird

Sometimes, less is more. In contrast to the lavish designs of the 15th through 18th centuries, “Prestige With Bird” is simple yet very elegant. It depicts a tropical bird in repose on a branch in a misty forest setting. The simplicity speaks volumes and lets the imagination run wild, filling in what is not seen and what is left unsaid. Of course, nothing in this tapestry exists in the real world, but is more fanciful, allowing those gazing upon it to create their own world.
