Spellbound – Simon Bull

In this tapestry “Spellbound” we see a work by UK artist Simon Bull. The works of Simon Bull are known for his portrayal of a dreamlike state that affects our emotions. His background is from a childhood spent in cultural centres of Europe, the jungles of South America and the countryside of China to create his love of flowers and nature as a favorite subject of his works. It was during an exhibition in Harrods, London, where people told him the impact that his works had on them which was to affect their emotionally through color and his subjects of flowers. Here we see a sunflower in a riotous scene of sunlit sunflowers to captivate the viewer in a spell of attention. This contemporary floral tapestry “Spellbound” is backed with lining and tunnel for easy hanging.
