Magnolia tapestry is based on a wallpaper panoramic from the 19th century showing a magnolia tree. Based on an original from the 19th century, attributed to the artists Eugene Ehrmann (1804-1896) and Georges Zipelius (1808-1890), this is a part of the larger work "Paysage Exotique". The new and exotic magnolia tree as well as the palm tree were new plants discovered by botanists while voyaging abroad and this wallpaper panoramic was created to show these new plants with great detail. Here we see the magnolia tree with its magnificent white flowers, amidst the tropical foliage below and surrounding. The morning light in this work is captured perfectly and gives an atmosphere that is almost tangible. A luscious work depicting a very exotic landscape. This tapestry "Magnolia" is backed with a lining and has a tunnel for easy hanging. Note: Tapestry rod, tassels, and accessories, where pictured, are not included in the price.
