Spring – Mucha

In this tapestry “Spring – Mucha” we see Spring symbolised by a woman, from his collection of works from “The Seasons” from 1896. This Czech artist was the pioneer of the art nouveau movement and his ladies in flowing gowns and delicate yet striking designs are a hallmark of his works. Here we see the woman celebrating spring surounded by flowers. She is seen hovering over a tree background made of pinks and blues.
